Every organization operates within a leadership paradigm—a set of shared attitudes, beliefs, and habits that shape its day-to-day functions.

For over a century, most organizations have followed a dominant paradigm often referred to as power over.

Rooted in the industrial era, it's become so deeply woven into the fabric of leadership that it often runs unnoticed in the background.

Even when our words say otherwise, this paradigm tends to concentrate power in the hands of a few - who use it to control others.

The rapid rise of technology has brought incredible progress, but it hasn't always served our humanity.

Despite the created value, we've fallen short in using these advances to help people, organizations, and communities thrive truly.

Now, with AI and automation accelerating, we face a growing risk: hardwiring the power over paradigm into our digital infrastructure - locking in control, limiting agency, and deepening disconnection.

The result? wasted human potential, a rising sense of disengagement, and too many people feeling stuck - unable to grow, innovate, or make things better. It doesn't have to be this way.

We believe it's time for a new leadership paradigm: Leading Through.

Unlike power over, which concentrates authority and uses it to control, Leading Through is about unlocking power within and through others. It's about creating conditions where everyone is empowered to take initiative, contribute meaningfully, and lead from their current position.

Leadership isn't limited to position or authority; it can be achieved together, across every level of an organization.

Because real leadership doesn't stifle. It ignites. In today's world, we all have the work of leadership to do.
