Leading Through is a paradigm of work and organization designed to activate the power of our humanity—soul, heart, and mind—to produce thriving people and thriving organizations through effective leadership. Power to create amazing value; power to improve the lives of people; and power to heal the divides and bridge the chasms that exist between us.
 

SOUL

The soul of leadership makes explicit that leadership is always and everywhere a moral work and that effective leaders (and those they lead) strive to do what is right, because it is right, even when it is hard.

HEART

The heart of leadership places people as the first-order objective, recognizing the power and potential within them and helping them to find meaning and thrive in their work and lives.

MIND

The mind of leadership is the domain of action, learning and change, recognizing that leadership is a flexible, teachable, and repeatable process of collective assessment, decision-making, learning, and improvement.

LEADERSHIP THAT PERMEATES.

When we activate the soul, heart, and mind of leadership what we get is leadership that permeates. Leadership that permeates the whole person, the whole team, the whole unit, the whole organization. On a personal level, Leading Through is about making leadership more natural, personal, and possible for anyone, anywhere, in any circumstance. For organizations, it’s about unleashing the power and potential—the leadership—of everyone in the organization, from the frontlines to the c-suite.

 

Leading Through is a whole paradigm of work and organization for activating the soul, heart, and mind in ways that enable the work of leadership to permeate everyone and everything it touches. There are leaders and there is leadership in all of us. We all need leadership, and we all can be leaders. The world desperately needs us to be.
